With the new ships HANSEATIC nature, HANSEATIC inspiration and HANSEATIC spirit, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is putting three five-star expedition ships into service. It started with the "nature" in May 2019, followed by the other two ships in autumn 2019 and 2021.
With the ice classification PC6, all new expedition ships have the highest ice class for passenger ships.

In the meantime, the HANSEATIC nature has been awarded five stars in the latest edition of the renowned "Berlitz Cruising & Cruise Ships 2020" as the best boutique ship.

Glass balconies on almost all cabins allow the guest to float above the ocean and, as well as the generous open deck areas and the bow, make first row observation of nature possible.

On board the HANSEATIC nature + inspiration you will only find outside cabins and suites, almost all of which have a balcony or French balcony. The size of the cabins and suites varies between 21 and 71 square metres and are comfortably and stylishly furnished.

All cabins and suites have a special design concept, the "Inspired by nature", which is characterised by curved lines, natural colours and high-quality materials. The biodynamic lighting, integrated in a "wave wall", can be individually adjusted by the guest in the colour temperatures of the daylight.

Matching an expedition ship, every taste is met in the culinary area with a total of 3 restaurants on board.
In the main restaurant, the idea of sitting under a tree with the light falling through the crown of its leaves was implemented. For this purpose, a new type of illuminated ceiling was developed, which is illuminated by means of dynamic colour light and directs accentuated, directed light onto the tables.
