For Accor Hospitality, Martin Weiser developed a lighting concept for the public areas of the ibis brand hotels in Germany. The core of the differentiated lighting concept is to move away from uniform, quantitative lighting towards qualitative lighting. The uniform illumination of the wall surfaces provides basic lighting and gives the room a dimension. Accent lighting as the "light to look at" conveys room hierarchies, stages in an exciting way and provides guests with a stage for their stay.
