Designing Media Worlds with Light Tension between Light and Backlight as a Symbol of Journalistic Work.

RTL plays a central role in the world of modern media. For the design of the RTL building in Cologne, the task was therefore to innovatively realise the field of tension between light and backlighting - a symbol of journalistic work. The lighting concept, designed with a multitude of different light sources and an extravagantly innovative lighting ambience, reflects the glaring light of the spotlights as well as the cast shadows of current reporting.

At the same time, however, visitors are guided through the building along pleasantly clear light paths and encouraged to discover the world of media.
