Atmospheric and energy-efficient lighting concepts for system gastronomy - here using the example of Starbucks with its Coffee House in the Sony Center in Berlin.
Since 2010, Martin Weiser has been supporting Starbucks in the conception and implementation of the lighting concept in the German Starbucks coffee houses, with special attention to energy efficiency and atmospheric lighting. Only LED luminaires are used as the basis for the LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) of all stores.
A special highlight was created at the Sony Center in Berlin. Behind a full-surface glass façade, guests can see and be seen over 2 floors.
Starbucks' wish to design the entire restaurant as a stage for the viewer from the outside was achieved through the planar lighting of the entire back wall, which gives the space a depth and perceptible dimension. Tables, artwork and functional areas were additionally accentuated using spotlights, creating an exciting and differentiated spatial effect.
